A noble action by JCI OLM MANOUBA

On friday 13rd May 2016, the international organization JCI Manouba (Junior Chamber International) has organized an event that included a free clinic and a health awareness campaign. This event took place at the youth house of Manouba. Other organizations, associations and institutions has collaborated in this event mentioning DRS-Mannouba, INNTA, Tunisian Red Crescent, Association Alzheimer Tunisia and Biocareinsat.

The free clinic comprised medical consultations for HBP screening, breast cancer screening, measuring weight and size for the body mass index screening, smoking cessation and CO measuring. Many people have participated from all ages and especially elders as it was an occasion for them to make a free health check, and they were very satisfied by the service.

The event was well organized, the JCI members did a huge work to provide order and comfort for the participants. The medical staff were also so helpful as they did their best providing favorable conditions to the participants, this staff included many doctors, such as Dr. HendaMejri, Dr. LatifaAbdLkader, Dr. Layla Makhlouf and Dr. OlfaOueslati. Also a number of midwives and nurses has participated in the event that included, on the other hand, sensitization against cancer by biocareinsat, association Alzheimer Tunisia and the Tunisian Red Crescent, and sensitization about nutrition by the National Nutrition Institute. There was also a workshop entitled " صحتي في غذائي " that was presented by "Mariem Litarabousat". Serving humanity is a very noble goal. We shall need to see more actions like these often in our community since it aims to the well-being of citizens. By taking care of our health at the present moment, we shall prevent ourselves from potential hidden diseases and assur, for sure, a better future whether for ourselves or for future generations.
